What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Data Manager position at Applied Research Solutions?
Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Technical Data Manager to provide data management expertise to a government customer at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The Technical Data Manager will assist will all aspects of data management, maintaining program records, creating and maintain documents, and leading the internal data management process. The Technical Data Manager will be responsible for managing data within numerous digital databases and should have a good understanding of DoD and AF Information Protection policies related to unclassified and classified information.
Responsibilities include:
- Create and implement efficient and secure procedures for effective data handling
- Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to DOD/AF/AFRL standards
- Assist the Program Manager with organizing/categorizing various types of data
- Assist the Program Manager with daily administrative tasks as necessary
- Develop/route staffing packages for review/approval to/by AFRL HQ
- Develop briefing and documents to clearly communicate program objectives, status, and accomplishments to a wide variety of audiences
- Collect and prepare materials for staff meetings as required
- Efficiently use IT tools to facilitate communication within program (e.g. Confluence, Jira, VDL) to include page permissions, building, and generating new pages and content
- Able to understand and communicate varying levels of sensitivity for government information (i.e. distribution markings, classification, etc.)
- Experience building MS PowerPoint briefings and templates
- Support Government Program Manager as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
- US citizen, Secret Security Clearance and able to obtain and maintain at least a TS/SCI clearance
- A minimum 10 years working within a DOD/AF weapon system program
- Advanced understanding and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, TEAMS, Zoom
- Ability to develop complex graphics using various graphics tools
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, VDL (Preferred)
- Exceptional technical documentation reading and writing skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
