The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working in the Esperanza Children's Therapy Clinic will work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, social & cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders to ensure children function at their personal best. The SLP will provide support to the family of the child receiving services in the Clinic.
What we are looking for:
-Ability to meet the Esperanza Children's Therapy Clinic documentation requirements and to use good time management skills to complete documentation required.
-Meet the Esperanza billing deadlines.
-Software and computer proficiency to document the services provided to children and their families.
-To identify and meet the child’s goals and needs as recorded in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
-Develop care plans using quality and personalized evidence-based treatment techniques that improve the child’s communication and swallowing.
-Communicate with families and empowering the family to use the strategies given.
-Provide the Delivered Service Log and Daily Notes to the Esperanza Billing Department according to the Esperanza clinic guidelines.
-Completes the required benchmark required for the position.
-Ability to work in a changing environment gathering relevant information to integrate a change or modify a program.
-Dependable, detail-oriented, team player with strong interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate a team approach toward treatment; provide guidance to staff on a variety of topics; and ability to effectively organize and communicate information to target audiences.
Requirements:
-Graduate degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved and accredited educational program
-New Mexico SLP License
-A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF)
-Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
-Use decision making skills that objectively and fairly evaluate situations.
-Must be a team player.
-A strong advocate of the Aprendamos mission to help children with development disabilities achieve their greatest potential and be motivated to contribute to the mission with pride and integrity.
-All other duties as assigned.
