What are the responsibilities and job description for the SR Systems Engineer (DoD Security Clearance) position at Apriva?

Must Have DoD Security Clearance
SR Systems/Server Engineer
Works under minimal supervision to monitor, manage, and troubleshoot issues with software and networking/server hardware at customer sites. Act as an escalation path for Technical Support on field support requirements and issues
Interact with Product Test to ensure products delivered within projected schedules.
Right now, we need someone that can take a blank server, install VMWare, install the OS (Linux, Windows) install the user application, and configure it all to work together. Architecture experience would be nice to have
Qualification:
US Citizen
- 8 Years relevant Experience in the context of operational data center environments network design and implementation knowledge – Linux, Windows Operating Systems, VMWare, Network Storage, Databases, Network Software Applications, automated kickstart installations, command-line administration including some bash/shell scripting, Microsoft WSUS/SCRM Update processes
- Understanding of Linux software/tools – i.e. tcpdump, syslog, Apache Tomcat, HA/DRBD, PAM
- Understanding of SNMP and Network Monitoring Solutions
- Knowledge of DoD SRS/STIGs, general knowledge of Cellular Telephones/PDAs and GSM/CDMA networks. Possesses or ability to obtain a SECRET or above Clearance
BS degree Preferred– Computer Science, Engineering or in a related area or 8 years’ experience experience in Systems Engineering
