Injection Mold Technician

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Disassembly of molds, cleaning of mold components and reassembly of molds.
• Cleaning and straightening of mold vault.
• Cleaning and changing of washer unit and coolant tanks.
• Perform pin changes and complex conversions in multi-cavity tooling. In the press and in the tool room
• Required to participate in a machine maintenance program.
• Maintain 5S work practices.
• Basic Electrical troubleshooting of Hot runners and Hot runner controllers
• Regain molds, per individual capabilities.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior experience in a Tooling or Manufacturing atmosphere preferred
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Basic knowledge of Toolroom machines and equipment preferred
• Ability to use common mechanic hand tools
• Ability to read assembly guides
• The ability to understand and read blueprints.
• Basic computer operation skills with current software operating systems and programs.
• Ability to work alone with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to work with associates from all levels of the organization.
• Acquire and develop, at acceptable rates, an extensive knowledge of SAP system and complex molds.

Skills/Abilities

• This position requires the ability to stand for the entire shift, as well as constant mobility on a daily basis. Additionally, this position requires ability to move within/between departments and facilities.
• This position requires the ability to review items closely and have color recognition.
• This position requires pushing, pulling, lifting, moving and/or carrying up to 75 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Rotating shift
• Rotating weekends
