Job Summary
Aptive is seeking a Lead Implementation Specialist to help support the VA.
The ideal implementation lead will be able to identify organizational needs for the implementation of VHA’s national standards of practice. Will manage project expectations through creating implementation and sustainment plans, regular meetings with relevant stakeholders, project status reports and maintaining great client relationships. Will be an effective leader to manage the whole change cycle through politically sensitive and highly visible environments. Will exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a mentor for their support team.
This position will require hybrid support with the onsite location being in Washington, D.C.

- Develop comprehensive implementation plans, considering the unique requirements and complexities of respective National Standards of Practice, to effectively execute and monitor progress
- Plan for sustainment activities to ensure ongoing adherence to implemented policies
- Plan for necessary oversight and how to make adjustments to optimize compliance
- Engage in various implementation activities, such as stakeholder engagement, possible trainings, and change management initiatives, to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption of new policies
- Collaborate with a steering committee to drive key implementation decisions related to VHA National Standards of Practice, providing expert guidance and insights to ensure successful implementation
- Develop various deliverables including credentialing and privileging checklists, as well as maintaining up to date implementation and sustainment plan documents
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree
- Must have 5 years of relevant experience
- Must have the ability to support the creation and review policy documents
- Must be able to use qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of the operations.
- Must be able to effectively use data to present program status and make recommendations on improving business processes.
- Experience drafting notes, implementation plans, and adhering to strict timelines
- Responsible for interfacing, both orally and via written communications with various stakeholders
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use and management of Microsoft Suite of products: Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong written and communication skills to include developing reports, briefings, and similar artifacts
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree
- Knowledge/experience with use of VHA's interagency Centralized Mail Portal
- Knowledge/experience with legacy appeals and/or appeals requiring adjudication under the Veteran Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act of 2017 (AMA)
- Knowledge/experience with VBA
- Experience with VHA Central Office
