Job Summary
Aptive is seeking Risk Analyst to support operations and risk management efforts in support of a VHA client team. This individual will help design and implement lean, responsive processes to support risk identification, tracking, and mitigation, strategic planning, decision-making, and executive level communications and stakeholder engagement.
This position requires strong customer interaction skills and a demonstrated ability to work with various, senior level stakeholders across multiple tasks. The successful candidate will be proactive with demonstrated success monitoring risks and issues across multiple, concurrent tasks in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. The analyst will work as part of a team to develop and coordinate senior leader briefings, analyze data and generate strategic recommendations to mitigate potential program risks, facilitate working sessions with a broad range of stakeholders, and monitor overall program risk and issues status. Candidate must also have the ability to work and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop a wide range of executive level written communications and standard briefing packages
- Work with clients to develop, refine and maintain processes, guidelines, rules and interdisciplinary structures for identifying, managing, and reporting program risks
- Support broader project management activities including coordinating multiple tasks among project teams, distributing project communications, and participating in various meetings and working sessions
- Assist in defining and documenting business rules, decision flows, role definitions, responsibilities and timelines
- Execute risk management and quality assurance efforts across the project
- Develop a wide range of written program and risk management artifacts and briefings
- Schedule, lead and attend meetings with senior clients on a regular basis
- Monitor status of program risks from identification through mitigation, ensuring visibility into potential impacts for program leaders and appropriate remediation is completed
- Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to collect input, data and approvals for work products
- Create reports, metrics and tracking mechanisms and provide risk analysis to relevant stakeholders
- Create, monitor and manage a risk dashboard and tracking mechanism
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Risk management experience

- Experience with SES-level stakeholders and VHA Leadership
- Exceptional executive communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience providing data driven strategic recommendations for large federal agencies
- Ability to track projects from start to finish, with clear and transparent communication of status.

- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Understands how to collaborate on a team and take initiative as an individual.

Client Information
EHRM is a major executive program office in the Office of Health Informatics (OHI). This office reports to the Chief Informatics Officer (CIO) for VHA and supports a high reliability, learning health organization. Its mission is to improve the Veterans experience and provide health care staff with information and solutions for better decision workflows. OHI directs the coordinating efforts of the VHA EHRM Decision Support Team, facilitates the work of the VHA EHRM Interdisciplinary Decision-Making Group, and integrates the work of the VHA EHRM National Councils into VHA’s overall coordinated execution of EHRM efforts.
