Overview:

Maintain financial data and compliance through accurate entries, reconciliation, and reporting. Will perform daily accounting tasks such as weekly and monthly reporting, invoicing, GL entries, recording payments and receivables.

A basic understanding of accounting principles, mathematical aptitude, and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel and QuickBooks Online is required.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
  • Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
  • Billing, AR, Monitor client payments
  • Post purchases into QuickBooks
  • Reconcile expense reports
  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Provide support to Management and Field Services as needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. May be assigned additional duties.
  • Assist with weekly payroll processing

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Prefer Associate degree with 2 years’ experience; or High School diploma with at least 4 years’ experience
  • QuickBooks Online experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; above average Excel skills
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, regulations, and procedures.
  • Must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, professionalism and be a team player
  • Possess interest and skills in problem solving
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Bilingual Spanish desired

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to use a variety of office equipment: computer, printer, fax, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
