Job Description:
AquaKids Swim School is a family-owned business with 3 locations in the DFW area. AquaKids offers year-round swimming lessons to ages 2 months-12 years old. Our mission is to provide the highest quality swim lessons in a safe, non-stressful environment while ensuring the best possible experience for students, parents, and staff. We are in business to save lives.
AquaKids Swim School is hiring for Assistant Facility Manager at our McKinney location. The Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for supervising the staff and executing essential duties necessary for an efficient operation of the facility in the absence of the Facility Manager.
We're closed on Fridays and Sundays and you'll have a 4-day workweek!
Qualifications:
- Must pass drug test and background check
- Competitive swim experience
- Minimum 2 years swim instructor experience
- Minimum 1 year management experience
- Lifeguard and CPR certification
- Able to work evenings and Saturdays
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Ability to recognize problems and implement solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to obtain CPO and LGI certificate after hire
Responsibilities:
- Teach swimming lessons/Deck Manage, as needed
- Act as manager in absence of Facility Manager
- Assist Facility Manager with duties and responsibilities such as, but not limited to:
- Maintain pool and equipment
- Deposits and end of month financial reports
- Processing credit and refund requests
- Monthly payment processing
- Private lesson requests
- Creating and maintaining class schedules
- Oversee promotions and offering solutions for non-promoting students
- Employee and lifeguard schedules, substitutes, and attendance
- Address and resolve parent complaints
- Order retail, chemicals, uniforms, office supplies, etc
- Assist/lead monthly staff meetings
- Assist in hiring, terminations, and staff evaluations
- Train/mentor Deck Managers, swim instructors, and office staff
- Maintain new teacher training checklists and monitor training
