Floor Cleaner

AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA, has an immediate opening for an individual to perform floor cleaning and light janitorial responsibilities. Will be responsible for general facility cleaning, maintenance and upkeep. Operates the ride-on floor scrubber/cleaning machine and performs other building cleaning functions. Will consider full-time or part-time hours. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Safe operation and routine maintenance of ride-on floor scrubber/cleaner machine
• Ability to understand, follow, and maintain basic knowledge of OSHA regulations associated with the use of power equipment and floor cleaning agents related to facility maintenance
• Situational awareness to safely operate power equipment in and around people, automated machinery, and production work-cells
• Take responsibility for general cleaning tasks such as washing windows, door panels and sills, empty wastebaskets, and meeting room set up/tear down
• Cleans and replenishes bathroom supplies. Requisitions supplies and equipment from Supervisor
• During inclement weather, provide proper upkeep by removing snow from walkways, building entrances and dock ramps, and spread snow/ice melting chemicals as needed
• May fill in for general facilities team as needed
• Ability to be flexible, reliable, and willing to work in a team environment

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent with at least one year experience working an a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to follow and provide directions effectively
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing work assignments with a proactive approach to all responsibilities
• Ability to multi-task and function successfully in a fast-paced work environment requiring physical demands
• Sound math and analytical skills; able to make decisions, notice errors, and perform basic calculations such as add, subtract, multiple and divide
• Comprehend English language with the ability to communicate through reading, speaking and writing
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner with the ability to perform task through to completion
• Maintain a clean & safe environment working environment
