FACILITIES SUPERVISOR

Summary:

Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation and direct supervision of assigned activities within the Facilities Department. Oversee overall department and/or shift(s) as assigned. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges.

Supervises and performs all types of troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, preventative maintenance and repairs for equipment, environmental spaces and grounds as assigned following all operating procedures, safety regulations and departmental policies and procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
• Supervise Team Members as needed.
• Plan out jobs and cost containment.
• Maintain a strict preventative maintenance program.
• Ensure that all areas of the hotel are in good working condition.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory on stock parts and for placing orders as needed
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prefer two-year degree in related area or six years minimum related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Must have excellent communication, organization and analytical skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, building schematics/blueprints, financial reports and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or owners.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

• Regularly walk, stand or stoop (80% of shift).
• Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
• Walk, stand, crouch, or run on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
• Regularly drives a motor vehicle.
• Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.
• Need to distinguish between shades of color.
• Communicate via radios.

Work Environment Potential Conditions

• Occasionally work in unfavorable conditions that can be hot, cold, noisy and/or wet.
