Technical Pre-Sales Engineer
Aqueity is looking for a top notch Technical Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team! This position is a market-facing position that works collaboratively with the VP of Business Development to realize revenue. This is a business development position with responsibility for developing solutions and closing deals for IT Projects, Professional Services and Cyber security initiatives.
This is an ideal role for a technologist who wants a mix of state-of-the-art technology, client interaction and solving business problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- As leads are generated by others (Sales, Client Engagement), collaborate with the pursuit team to architect solutions that help customers achieve their objectives
- Through analysis, identify the nature of the business problem and identify improvement opportunities
- Regularly interface with prospects as part of discovery
- Work with subject-matter experts (internal to Aqueity and product partners) as needed
- Collaborate with Aqueity’s professional services team (the organization that will deliver the work) to align implementation – before, during and after the project
- Prepare statements of work, including major work activities, estimation of effort and specification of product(s)
- Active in the “technical close” ensuring that the solution presented fits the requirements (technical, functional, and budget) while making compelling argument for client to move forward
- Develop long term roadmaps for clients including phasing out improvements aligned with client budget and timeline
- Support the proposal process by creating supporting materials (sales collateral, RFP/RFI, etc.) and delivering in person presentations
- Help ensure smooth handoffs from sales to services and back to the client upon completion
- Attend weekly sales and account planning meetings
- Responsible for developing solutions, quotes and orders
REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successful candidates will have worked for a managed services provider or IT consulting organization
- Knowledgeable in leading technologies for Cloud, Mobile, Security and Resiliency
- Strong organizational, presentation, and client service skills
- Constant learner who stays on top of industry trends
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction
- A passion for continual improvement, with keen attention to detail
- Driven, with a sense of urgency to get things done in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to articulate the business value for technology investments
- Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships
- High energy and drive with good negotiation skills
- Experienced in preparing high quality written communications and materials
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
Salary Range: $100-125k
