The DoD Red Team GTO serves as an on-site GTO to DoD Red Team Partners as the Government Division Lead’s representative to 1st SFC(A) to ensure assessments are conducted in accordance with established procedures.
The DoD Red Team GTO serves as an on-site GTO to DoD Red Team Partners as the Government Division Lead’s representative to 1st SFC(A) to ensure assessments are conducted in accordance with established procedures. The GTO is the “ambassador” for the Division Lead in charge of the DoD Red Team mission. He/She is obligated and beholden to the Division Lead to ensure the philosophy, methodology, vision, and commander’s intent is adhered to.
The GTO provides support in all aspects of assessments, operations, and training. The GTO serves as the corporate memory for assessment methodology and is responsible for developing and coordinating collection priorities and strategies, evaluating collection effectiveness, and recommending realignment of resources when appropriate. The GTO coordinates, validates and manages standing, ad hoc, and crisis-related mission requirements. The GTO is responsible for allocating collection efforts against the requirements and regularly solicits White/Red Cell Project Leaders to ensure collection against prioritized requirements. The GTO is responsible for maintaining and accounting for all DTRA provided equipment and supplies provided to the partner organization.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
The DoD Red Team GTO shall:
- In conjunction with DoD Red Team Partners, maintain communications and coordination between 1st SFC(A) and their subordinate CSUs
- Conduct field assessments in accordance with Program Plans as required, draft and submit operations orders, and other directives as required
- Prepare program deliverables including situation reports, out briefs, and after-action reviews, final reports, and GFE/P accountability reports
- Review CONOPs for assessments and spot assess as assessments move forward in its process
- Collate lessons learned from Group GTOs
- Review DTS as applicable to ensure compliance with the JTR and DoD Red Team Policies
Senior Ground Team Operations Subject Matter Expert Required Qualifications:
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- TS/SCI security clearance
- 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of a full range of concepts, principles, and practices in HUMINT collection and collection management and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult work assignments
- A thorough knowledge of and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for developing new or modified work methods, approaches, or procedures; and to identify, evaluate, and recommend solutions to issues and/or problems
- Must have experience working at Group or higher headquarters
- Special operations community experience
- Proficiency in understanding, analyzing and summarizing comprehensive and complex technical, and research information/data
- Must be a licensed driver
Desired Skills:
- Senior field grade/WO/NCO preferably retired military (20 yrs). College a plus but not required
- ASOT Level III
- Worked at the Battalion, Group or Command Level in previous assignments
- Understands Command Relationships and the Staff Processes that support Operations
- Experience with and understanding of TMT and its applications
- Knowledge with and understanding of the ESAT and AMHS systems
