Job Description
We’re looking for a passionate Project Leader who knows how to help define, de-risk and execute against a product vision. This is a role that demands being able to work collaboratively with colleagues on cross-functional and co-located product teams. The role demands strong product instincts, excellent communication skills, technical fluency, empathy, humility and an appreciation for and understanding of lean startup, agile and user-centered design values, principles and practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Quickly understand a specific domain and identify the trends and opportunities in that space
- Ask the right questions, craft solutions and deliver validated digital products to our clients
- Bridge business goals, user needs and feasibility as you help design and build product
- Work closely with your team to help create positive business outcomes for our clients
- Confidently run a room as small as three members to as large as an executive conference room, while drawing out all the voices by facilitating the right activities to get the right information
- Mentor, coach and collaborate with the product team members to drive decisions
- Mentor and train team members on common Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Lean startup and user-centered design methods
- Thoroughly understand experimentation and can lead the team to setup, conduct and evaluate results of user testing, including software prototype review and testing.
- Conduct interviews with stakeholders and end-users and synthesize insights into actionable next steps
- Create a backlog, write user stories, and manage releases
- Communicate effectively across all team roles
- Act as an ambassador for your team to all stakeholders so they can focus on building the right product
- Work to develop our Sherlok platform for vendor integration and project management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, Master’s a plus
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Product Manager
- Experience managing agile software development
- Demonstrated bias towards action
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Product design expertise as well as strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- Experience conducting end-user interviews and prototype testing
- Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
- Has shipped digital products
- Experience or bias towards leading from within a product team
- Empathy for the end user
- Software development experience (experience with delivery of full stack cloud native solutions)
- Understanding and experience working in teams using DevOps practices
- Experience using design tools to create wireframes and prototypes for user testing
- Software Consulting experience a plus
