As Manager, Nutrition and Operational Support Services for ARAMARK Correctional Services, you will provide nutrition and operational support for the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (MD DPSCS) and the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections partnership (PA DOC). This includes designing customized menu solutions for government contracts to be cost competitive, nutritionally appropriate, and meet contract specifications. This position assists the Director of Consultative Services in setting standards for quality assurance and operational requirements to meet regulatory agency standards and client needs. To meet contractual obligations, this position serves as a resource to both clients and ARAMARK with operational, medical diet needs, food service production software system support and supply chain management. Assists with training related to nutrition and operational support to ensure execution of systems and process. This position will also support both sales and operations at the Region and District level to accomplish business objectives
Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions
? Develops a strong level of trust and credibility with clients and the field regarding the technical nutritional competency of ARAMARK Correctional Services.
? Provides technical expertise in operational menu planning for the State for regular, therapeutic, religious and juvenile nutritional needs. Requires an understanding of current applicable nutrition-related government regulations and current nutrition research knowledge for application to meet client needs. Considerations for every opportunity include balancing budgetary restraints with nutritional requirements and client specifications.
? Assists in the development of Quality Assurance (Op-X) operating standards for the State, in conjunction with Operations, to assure contract compliance standards, compliance to food cost targets, American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation where applicable, and USDA compliance for juveniles if needed.
? Utilizes operational food production software system designed for ACS to assure contractual compliance with standards. Accurately computes all menu costs for menu development/on-going menu revisions to meet client needs.
? Maintains and/or assists in maintaining weekly order guides and pricing. Works with purchasing managers on product substitutions is needed. Assists the District/General Manager and Field to promote adherence to food cost targets.
? Provides support for the DOC related to Supply Chain Management (SCM). Acts as the liaison to the field operators and SCM for procurement and distribution. Supports the execution of processes to ensure compliance with purchasing programs.
? Assist in the testing of products and recipes and provides input as needed to determine appropriate product usage for nutrition and menu programs.
? Identifies State training opportunities in the areas of nutrition and operational support, quality assurance, and food cost control. Works with Director of Consultative Services & the District Managers to design and deliver necessary program content for all levels of Aramark and client management.
? Provides vital communication with clients and operations via weekly newsletters. Also, attends regular meetings with client both virtually as well as in person.
? Promotes sharing of best practices within the Region and LOB.

Candidates are required:
? To have a background in nutrition with Registered Dietician certification, plus a minimum of two years relevant experience.
? Previous food service operations management experience is preferred.
? Ability to accurately and efficiently utilize a food production software system.
? Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively with clients, front line managers, operations and support staff.
? Requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
? Travel required.
