TITLE: Assistant Manager
REPORTS TO: District Manager
PURPOSE: Operate an Arby’s restaurant by providing exceptional guest service while achieving agreed upon sales and profit goals. Deliver on the BSH mission statement. Work within the framework of company values and policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Be fully staffed with friendly qualified people at all levels while maintaining a bench of promotable team members, shift managers and assistant managers (AM If sales allow).
2. Purchase food, beverages and supplies and manage inventory. Oversee preparation to ensure that every product served meets our high standards of product quality.
3. Meet or exceed all operational Metric goals mandated by ARG & BSH. This includes but is not limited to the AOR, Eco-Sure, In-Moment results, food and labor targets and being held accountable to the annual budget.
4. Local store marketing (LSM), GM is responsible for building a LSM program and maintaining key relationships with businesses and schools in the community. A GM must be able to go out in the community and build sales and meet the AOP sales target each year.
5. Ensure all guest concerns are handled and all guests leaves happy utilizing the BLAST guest recovery model. Train, trust and empower the team to provide outstanding Quality, Friendliness, Cleanliness, Accuracy and Speed of Service.
6. Arby’s service standard must be exceeded, only the friendliest people are allowed to work for BSH. GM must be able to recruit candidates who can be friendly and speak to guests.
7. Execute Systems daily to ensure a clean, organized and efficient restaurant. Always provide outstanding product and service.
8. Attain the restaurant’s Annual Operating Plan.
9. Perform weekly/period counts and payroll worksheets and have to D.M. along with all weekly financial/performance each Monday before lunch.
10. Responsible for the safety and security of all Arby’s employees and customers.
11. Operate in accordance with established performance, profits and operating standards as set out in the OSM.
12. Responsible for POP being posted according to the Marketing Calendar and posted on time.
13. Write a schedule each week by EOD Wednesday.
14. Utilize LMS (Learning management system) and see that all staff is cross-trained and certified in their positions. All employees must be Red Hat & Safety 1’st certified in their first 30 days of employment.
15. Demonstrate working knowledge of all equipment, and assume responsibility for preventive maintenance.
16. Provide leadership by engendering excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude and commitment toward Company objectives.
17. Responsible for training all employees on general cash control systems and general credit card security and maintaining a secure restaurant environment for credit card data.
18. Participate in the completion of semi-annual performance appraisals for all team members and shift managers.
19. Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
• 2 years of experience as a Manager in the restaurant or retail industries
• H.S. diploma/GED equivalent
