What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping position at ARC ABRASIVES?
ARC Abrasives’ Shipping Department is seeking to add a clerk to our facility in Troy, Ohio.
Responsibilities Include
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders
- Pull products from shelving and/or factory floor
- Stocking product inventory
- Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs on a regular basis, additional 50 lbs on occasion
- Reports any problems to Supervisor or Manager
- Maintains a clean safe, and organized work area at the end of each shift
- Responsible for organizing your area
- Work well in a fast-paced team environment
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Continually required to stand and walk
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, or kneel
- Continually required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information
- Frequently required to lift/push/carry items more than 20 pounds or more depending on department
- Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
- Frequently loud noise (example: abrasive machinery)
