What does a Building Engineer do?
- Works with the director of facilities and maintenance to ensure necessary maintenance and repairs to company buildings’ mechanical, physical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Repairs doors, ceilings, hand railings, walls, and floors and other general repairs, adjustments and installations at multiple sites as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring that a building's electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution, are functioning properly and safely.
- Participates in emergency maintenance when problems arise and is available to respond to emergencies afterhours and on weekends
- Leads, coaches and mentors assigned maintenance techs. Possesses the ability to triage and prioritize jobs.
What are the requirements?
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience
- Electrical and plumbing experience preferred.
- HVAC License, a plus.
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently
- Effective communication skills with verbal and written English fluency is a must.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
