Store Manager

Arc Herkimer is looking for a Store Manager. The Store Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the efficient and profitable management of the retail store location and ensure the customer service standard is met, as well as monitoring of the financial aspect of the store.

Full time 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday with flexibility, some weekend shifts needed.

Salary: $1,064.25/week

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Five years of supervisory experience required.
• Five years of retail experience required.

Duties include but not limited to:

1. Operate in accordance with the established hours of business. 
2. Ensure proper staffing and scheduling.
3. Plan and post a schedule for employees, while maintaining acceptable payroll to revenue ratios.
4. Ensure that general conditions of the store meet high standards at all times.
5. Ensure performance standards and goals are met at all times.
6. Control and minimize store expenses.
7. Maintain a supply of cash and change sufficient to meet daily business.
8. Responsible for store funds and accuracy.
9. Arrange for repairs or maintenance using effective communication and any work order systems in place.
10. Ensure that the premises are safe for customers and employees at all times.
11. Communicate/work with other departments within the agency as well as outside agencies.
12. Ensure excellent customer relations are maintained, including training employees to greet, thank, or converse with customers and donors.
13. Monitor employee performance. 
14. Conduct employee evaluations.
15. Recommend ways to increase sales, efficiency, etc.
16. Develop and expand local donor base.
17. Interview and provide feedback on candidates.
18. Train employees as needed, including in security and loss prevention procedures.
19. Responsible for disciplinary action for employees as needed.
20. Ensure employees accurately and properly record all hours worked.
21. Schedule and conduct periodic store employee meetings.
22. Ensure store is adequately but not excessively stocked at all times.
23. Process, price, tag, hang, and display merchandise.
24. Organize back room production area.
25. Ensure merchandise is rotated timely and according to schedule.
26. Monitor cash handling procedures.
27. Ensure timely bank deposits either personally or by higher management.
28. Maintain cleanliness of store, including restrooms and donation center.
29. Ensure safety and security of store assets and premises.
30. Conduct employee bag and locker checks regularly.
31. Prepare, review, approve and/or submit sales reports, invoices, donor logs, cash reports, deposit slips, petty cash requests, etc. as required.
32. Prepare reports as requested by management.
33. Undertake other duties and responsibilities required by supervisor.
