Arcadis is seeking a Staff Geochemist to join our Resilience Environment team in the United States. This position will support our growth in technical geochemistry and work across energy and mining sectors. This opportunity requires a dynamic individual looking for growth in new technologies and environmental consulting. Location is the Salt Lake City, UT area.
Role accountabilities:
- Experience in geochemistry, with a focus on metals and radionuclides as well as experience in an environmental analytical laboratory.
- Contributing with project teams to plan and implement geochemical investigations, laboratory bench evaluations and pilot studies, and remedial solutions in the field.
- Coordinate and provide technical direction to analytical laboratories for routine and specialized testing methods.
- Support the development of geochemical site conceptual models.
- Perform field work which may include soil, groundwater, and environmental media sampling in compliance technical standards.
- Perform field work that may include work at an operating mine, including coordinating studies on mine material beneficiation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Serve as a technical resource on projects.
- Analyzing and modeling of geochemical data using industry-standard geochemical software (PHREEQC, AquaChem, Geochemist Workbench, etc.).
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental chemistry (particularly inorganic chemistry).
*Preferred Qualifications
- MS and at least 3 years of experience preferred.
- Technical degree in geochemistry, metallurgy, geology, hydrology, environmental engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
- Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and refresher certification and current medical clearance for hazardous waste site work
- MSHA 24 Hour New Minercadian.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $70,800- $106,200 dependent on experience.
