Role description:
As the Key Client Growth Director you will support the profitable growth of sales of our vertical buildings business that supports industrial, commercial, and public asset development and sustainment. Drive exceptionally good client experiences through leading and inspiring strategic engagement with existing Key Clients and our delivery teams. Targeted growth focus on capturing US opportunities for Services and Solutions supporting building design, engineering, technical advisory, and project/program management. Working directly with our existing Market Sector Leaders and Key Client Account Leaders in a rapidly growing, high-performance business area. Globally, Arcadis has over 200 Key Clients that represent a significant portion of our annual revenue and receive favored status with respect to the level engagement and commitment to joint success based on mutually respected working relationships, aligned cultures and behaviors, and similar missions to improve quality of life.
Role accountabilities:
- Lead key client engagements through The Arcadis Way Market to Opportunity (MtO) activities thru completion so that we can effectively drive Client awareness of our value propositions (services and solutions), identify and co-create opportunities to help our clients achieve their objectives, and enhance our client experience (CX) results
- Develop strategies and identify target client opportunities, collaborate across Business Areas to expand client relationships
- Explore and develop appropriate commercial strategies for meet client needs and align with Arcadis commercial objectives
- Identify sustainability and digital initiatives to drive client success
- Author “voice of the customer” elements of proposals, developing content that is tailored to the client’s requirements and aligned to identified win strategy (e.g., key messages / win themes)
- Accountable to ensure identification of opportunities and assigned to pursuit leaders to update during progression of opportunity, and collaboration activities are coordinated across the complete pursuit and delivery life-cycle
- Ensure CX across all points of client interaction
- Capture lessons learned that feed into other key client meetings and pursuits across Key Client accounts and Market Sectors.
- Identify continuous improvement of MtO processes, systems and tools to contribute to improved efficiencies to improve CX and better position for ideal project delivery models
- Collaborate with Account Leader on key client interactions, including attending relevant client engagements, industry forums, virtual media engagement, and conferences
- Conduct post-selection debrief with client and pursuit team to drive lessons learned/ best practice sharing
- Drive awareness of seamless delivery, high GEC usage, stretch our digital and sustainability propositions for improved client outcomes
- Recognize commercial strategies (margin, profitability, profitability with each key client) and ability to coordinate with finance and legal to proactively manage risk position
- Work with BA Pursuits Director(s) to lead the development and continuous improvement of pursuit processes, systems and policies to contribute to organizational initiatives to improve performance
- Work together with sector leaders, account leaders and solution leaders and core pursuit team members/ partners to maximize the value we bring to our strategic pursuits with our key clients
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 5 or more years of relevant experience leading client development activities for international and/or Fortune 500 clients with net order intake greater than $2-M
- 10 or more years of experience leading accounts or programs of work with Fortune 500® clients
- Excellent leadership and motivation skills
- Experience managing internal business relationships at executive level

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $235,000.
