What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction surveyor position at Arcadis?
Role accountabilities :
- Grow independent relationships with clients and internal teams
- Manage the development of cost estimates for projects from concept through execution based on accurate quantity take-offs and deep knowledge of material / labour and equipment costs
- Respond to, solves and makes decisions on business requests that have broader department impact and / or moderate risk.
Presents alternative solutions to business issues by leveraging the broader organization.
- Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
- Assist the project management staff with the management of project scope, budget, and schedule
- Assist with analysis, and report on the project key performance metrics. Engage in value engineering discussions to identify the best solution available for the client
- Provide life cycle cost and sustainability advice
- Be a true professional who collaborates and develops partnerships with external and internal Teams
Qualifications & Experience :
Key Skills & Attributes :
- Knowledgeable of construction processes, the cost and commercial management all phases of the project from concept to hand-over / warranty
- Design and Tender preparation with deep market knowledge for resources / materials / equipment, etc.
- Experienced accessing and working with risk management
- Be a collaborative partner with internal Teams
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent construction project experience
- 5 years relevant experience in a similar working environment, including delivery small / medium / large projects across the entire project life cycle
- Experience working with internal / external Teams either as part of the Team
- Relevant professional certification
- Strong verbal and writing skills

The salary range for this position is $81,420 to $122,130 year.
