FUNCTIONAL ROLE
The role of the Solar Project Coordinator is to ensure that the Electrical & Solar teams deliver on the terms and conditions of our contracts with consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely deliverables and products to our customers. Assist in overseeing, guiding, and managing the work of contractors, vendors, suppliers, and employees. Promotes environmental stewardship and a work culture focused on health and safety.
- Experience – Minimum of 1 year of administrative and/or office experience.
- Skills, knowledge and abilities –Must have strong computer skills and excellent verbal and written skills. Must be dedicated to providing timely support to teammates and be detail oriented. A successful Solar Project Coordinator candidate will have superior organizational skills, work well within a team and have the ability to work independently with little or no supervision. The candidate must have superior decision-making skills, problem-solving skills and conflict-management abilities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The position requires accuracy, common sense, and flexibility, the ability to calculate formulas, and develop spreadsheets.
- Language Skills - Ability to read and write basic "Business English". Ability to compose standard letters with proper format, grammar, punctuation, and spelling, using all parts of speech. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries and complaints. Ability to do presentations and be comfortable with public speaking. Ability to coordinate a variety of routine projects and activities simultaneously.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Solar Project Coordinator role will report directly to the Head of Technical Operations.
AUTHORITY
The Solar Project Coordinator candidate has sufficient authority to fulfill the responsibilities and duties assigned to the position, within the guidelines established by the Head of Technical Operations.
- Maintains and fosters contacts with energy consultants, contractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
- Oversee and initiate pre-con meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to the field.
- Negotiate and resolve customer concerns in consultation with project developers, head of technical operations or relevant team members.
- When necessary, estimate change orders for assigned projects and submit to Head of Technical Operations.
- Manage all jobs closeout procedures to include inspections, job write ups, and returns of unused job materials.
- Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement.
- Communicate company policies and procedures regarding travel, lodging, per diem etc. when applicable.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings either in person or virtually.
- The principal duties of the Solar Project Coordinator are listed as follows:
- Interacts closely with Head of Technical Operations, Head of Business Operations and Project Developers to ensure project needs and objectives are met.
- Participates in engineering, design, and construction review processes.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educations workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practice; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains personal hygiene as necessary to develop an ongoing professional relationship with co-workers and customers. Maintains cleanliness in all work areas.
- The job performance of the Solar Project Coordinator role will be determined by the following measurements:
- All reports required by management, are done on a timely manner.
- The Head of Technical Operations is advised of any potential problems.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with The Head of Technical Operations, customers, other managers, other employees, and vendors.
- Perform all duties efficiently, with little supervision. Make optimal use of time during working hours and be accountable to yourself and your co-workers.
- Consistently display the ability to recognize and deal with priorities.
- Always provide proper notification and advance notice of absences.
- Performs all work-related responsibilities while maintaining compliance with all written and implied safety guidelines typical for the industry.
