What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN PT Evening position at Archcare?
The Rehabilitation RN is responsible for supervising the day-to-day nursing activities of assigned unit. This position supervises in accordance with current, federal, state and local regulations, in addition to ARCHCARE policies and procedures. The RN is delegated the clinical and administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out assigned duties including the supervision of CNAs, and Unit Clerks.
- Provide Five Star Customer Service to all internal and external customers 100% of the time.
- Provide leadership, direction and supervision for all nursing personnel assigned to the unit.
- Contributes to the overall performance in attaining the four following results: High quality care, Provider of choice, Employer of choice.
- Administers all medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures and physician's orders. Performs all treatments according to physician's specific order and established policies and procedures.
- Organizes assignment for efficient use of time.
- Sets priorities in meeting the needs of resident's.
- Continuously evaluates behavior symptoms, reaction, and progress of residents and discusses pertinent information with Nurse Manager/ Director.
- Delegate to Rehabilitation CNAs, Unit Clerks the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform his/her assigned tasks.
- Ensure that established policies and procedures, including dress codes and ID badges are followed by all department personnel. Ensure that RNs, LPNs, and CNAs attend scheduled education events. Assist in providing education on units as assigned.
- Assist Nursing Administration and other Administration with day to day nursing activities, including measuring and developing best practices.
- Perform administrative duties such as completing reports, evaluations, charting, and accidents/incident reports as necessary. Collaborate with physician(s), resident's/patient's and family in planning resident's/patient's care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc. as necessary.
- Make rounds of patients/residents to ensure needs are adequately met. Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Keep Unit Manager/ Director informed of the status of residents and other related matters through written/oral reports.
- Assist in coordinating nursing with other resident/patient services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Record residents'/patients' medical information and vital signs. All orders and information is current and accurate in EMR and MDS.
