POSITION SUMMARY

This position aims to interact with Residential, Architectural & Design, and Custom Builders by developing relationships through personal sales calls and other social activities. Assist customers with product choices according to their specific needs and support the product distribution channel. This position requires substantial knowledge of the products sold.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop relationships with local residential architects and designers
  • Develop relationships with local residential home builders.
  • Place and maintain sample stock at all assigned accounts (see #1 & 2)
  • Develop a cadence and schedule to bring newly identified customers into the showroom
  • Create account profiles in CRM for all newly identified customers and provide daily updates on scheduled visits and activity.
  • Periodic travel as needed to visit customers outside of driving range.
  • Must participate in industry association meetings monthly
    • ASID
    • Local Homebuilders Association
    • NARI
    • NKBA
    • Identify and schedule hosted chapter meetings on an annual basis.
    • Prospect customers identified through attendance at association meetings to be entered into CRM on a monthly basis.
  • Communicate and coordinate any identified opportunities to GM and local sales reps/team. Notate in CRM.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • 6 stops per day and documented in CRM.
  • All samples are updated within a 60-day rolling window.
  • Attendance at industry association meetings as outlined above.
  • A minimum of 40 prospects identified per quarter with setup and next step action plan outlined in CRM.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and disciplined.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in a related industry preferred.
  • Sales experience in the industry (architectural, design, or construction).

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Office/Automobile: Travel to/From the office and visits to meet with clients
