We need an organized, numbers savvy person to pay our people and assist with our accounting needs.
YOUR IMPACT IN THE ROLE:
- Run semi-monthly payroll, including deductions and employee expense reimbursements, including overseeing quarterly and year-end payroll and benefits documents for employees and company.
- Distribute year-end W2 and 1095 tax documents and assist with 1099 preparation.
- Administer fed/state employment and revenue accounts, including set-up, reporting, closures and audits.
- Own agency expense card platform: audit receipts, approve charges and monthly reconciliation.
- Manage simple set of books for sister agency (approx. 10 monthly entries) and run reports.
- Process all agency accounts payable, credit card transactions, and day-to-day data entry operations.
- Assist with annual tax preparation and other miscellaneous tax processes.
- Administer employee benefit offerings, including but not limited to; offering a well-rounded package, educating employees, assisting with insurance renewals, etc.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Professional experience as a Bookkeeper for small to mid-size businesses is a plus.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping, accounts payable and trial balance principles.
- Hands on experience processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A desire for data entry and a knack for numbers (and rhymes).
- Digitally savvy (no paper here).
- A working knowledge of cloud-based accounting and HR management systems.
- Committed to learning Netsuite, Quickbooks, Expensify, Namely, Box and Slack platforms.
