What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at Archrock?
Overview: Assists with maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and/or process equipment at customer's location, as directed.
Essential Duties:
- Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment.
- Works with others to perform Call Outs (CO), Preventative Maintenance (PM), Major Maintenance (MM), Overhauls and MOB/DEMOB.
- Performs Call Outs (CO) with assistance from a technical expert. Learns to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations.
- Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion. Non-Essential Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to:
- Perform all essential duties.
- Develop proficiency in order to perform quality, efficient work with less assistance.
- Begin to demonstrate customer service skills.
- Read, write and speak English (work orders, manuals, etc.)
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Use basic computer skills, including Internet Explorer and Outlook.
- Respond to afterhours request regularly on an on call basis.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of or training in relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
- General mechanical knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of electronics. Minimum Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Gas or diesel engine and compressor school/training preferred. Minimum Experience:
