What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at ARCO Restoration?
The Project Manager is responsible for preparing and coordinating full restoration construction projects as well as creating production schedules and managing projects through completion. Manages performance of vendor partners/subcontractors and other field staff. Utilizes multiple methods for business development and client acquisition and retention.
Some of the essential duties of this position:
- Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid.
- Obtains pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors.
- Prepares cost analysis using material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items.
- Ensures timely completion of estimates.
- Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
- Confers with subcontractors to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
- Visits project sites to ensure progress and quality.
- Manages worker schedules and performance.
- Implements and enforces safety plans.
Basic requirements:
- Education and Experience: 5 years of related experience and/or training. Knowledge of equipment, materials and supplies used in commercial and residential restoration construction.
- Must be able to read, understand, and interpret construction plan sets.
- Preferred experience with Xactimate but not required.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook. Must be willing to learn and utilize software programs or other technology to optimize productivity and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills. Must be able to schedule, motivate, discipline, train, and evaluate performance of Subcontractors, Carpenters, and Laborers.
