Arconic is currently in search of IT Project Lead with .Net Full Stack Developer experience to join our Extrusions IT Team in Lafayette, Indiana. The primary purpose of IT Project Lead is to support both business and manufacturing applications and projects used by AEX locations.
Primary Responsibilities
- The primary purpose of the IT Project Leader role is to lead IT Development team to provide day to day support for Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial and other applications used by the Lafayette and Chandler AEX locations.
- Analyzes, develops, enhances, and supports business processes that may span multiple computing environments and multiple AEX locations.
- Develops an in depth understanding of the business processes in their area(s) of assignment, and a general understanding of the AEX business.
- Takes initiative to identify and implement system and/or process improvements to support business objectives.
- Uses a combination of leading-edge information technologies along with existing legacy tools to deliver solutions to meet business needs.
- Lead several key projects with growth opportunities for the AEX IT Team at Lafayette.
- Support existing solutions within the Java, Microsoft Access, .Net and Visual Basic areas.
- Provide liaison role between the Application Software provider and Arconic business users.
- Collaborate with team members to identify new opportunities and assist with the development of new solutions using Java and Power Automate suite.
- Act as an internal consultant to Arconic's businesses and various customer groups.
- Interacts with systems and BU business process owners during the deployment of Manufacturing applications and projects.
- Effectively utilizes GIS project methodology and tools to deliver solutions and communicate status.
- Operates within and influences IS standards and conventions and promotes adherence within the IS organization.
Key Objectives
- Partners with business leaders to prioritize project needs and ensure critical business needs are resourced appropriately.
- Aligns priorities of project deliverables and timelines among multiple business stakeholders across the BU locations to meet the most urgent business needs.
- Aligns with IS Manager to balance between location resource needs vs. project resource needs.
- Maintains strong collaboration and partnership with business functional owners, Global information systems, procurement, finance, engineering, and plant lead team members.
- Inspires team to generate and deliver new value-add ideas.
- Regularly communicates project status to project steering team and stakeholders.
- Addresses issues promptly and escalates issues appropriately.
- Become Arconic's first point of contact in IT for the applications technical support.
- Builds an in depth understanding of the business processes in their area(s) of assignment, and a general understanding of the AEX business.
- Develop technical and user documentation for the ongoing support of applications.
- Initiate problem solving to support business processes, deployed solutions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong human relation skills, and able to interact with internal and external customers, vendors, other IS professionals, and GIS management.
- Comply with all guidelines detailed in the audit/compliance tool (with a specific focus on business partnerships, change control, disaster recovery, and security) for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Operate within an offshore model that provides development and/or support solutions in the assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Pursues continuous learning consistent with changes in technology and uses this to influence IS direction
Basic Qualifications
- High School or GED from an accredited institution
- 5 years minimum experience in a similar role.
- 5 years minimum experience in .Net, Java Script, MS SQL Server, System Integration, and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
- 5 years minimum experience in relational database design with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. *730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT
- 5 years of experience with software development life cycle methodologies
- 5 years minimum experience in Project management leading several small to large projects, and demonstrate a solid understanding of project management processes, methodologies, and techniques.
- Technical experience in Design and Development with Java
- Application development experience with Microsoft SQL Server Applications tools (SSIS, SSAS), Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Oracle or SAP ERP applications, Rockwell Factory Talk Application suite and OSIsoft PI applications.
- Experience with report development and visualization tools: Microsoft SSRS, Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps.
- Manufacturing functional experience working on quality, planning & scheduling, shipping, or operations management information systems projects.
