What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Estimating I position at Arcosa?
Job Requirements:
- Management and oversight of commercial demolition projects and bids, including:
- Preparation of commercial engineering surveys
- Development and presentation of accurate estimates for supervisor review.
- Preparation of professional proposals to client for Commercial Demolition projects.
- Submission of change orders as required
- Job expense approval
- Tracking of job costs vs. estimated costs
- Ensuring confidentiality of project-related information.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Physical Requirements:
- Work in enclosed air-conditioned / heated office environment and on project multiple times per week in the elements for various amounts of time.
- Work involves sitting, standing and moving to and from various office locations in the course of the business day to accomplish tasks.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stoop, kneel, and crawl in awkward positions.
- Able to work at heights exceeding 10 feet on an occasional basis.
- Exposure to loud noise, machinery, chemicals, fumes, odors, etc.
Salary : $36,500 - $46,200
