What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Accounts Manager position at Ardagh Group?
Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and executing the beer business plan and coordinating sales activities with customer accounts and prospects including plant locations customer offices and their purchases which may include utilizing sale service and technical services to assist the customer.
Develop and implement a sales strategy for increasing sales and profits through assigned customer accounts.
Develop new customers and establish customer relations that create new business.
Responsible for ongoing contact with accounts and prospects develop and coordinate sales presentations and ensure proper sales service support is provided to customers.
Work with Vice President and the Sales and Marketing groups to study and develop sales and marketing strategies to support selling to customers.
Recommend new or modified products to meet account customer needs.
Maintain timely communication of customer problems or potential problems to Sales Management and ensure corrective action is developed and taken.
Assist credit and collection department as necessary in their collection efforts.
Prepare customer market analysis recommend new or modified products packaging designs and concepts to meet customer and market needs.
Monitor inventory turnover per planned objectives and develop action plans as necessary.
Performs administrative activities necessary for the effective management of responsibilities.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field is preferred with account management experience ideally in the packaging industry.
MBA degree is plus.
Must have good planning and organization skills be detail oriented and have the ability to analyze data identify problems reason make and carry out recommendations.
Strong verbal and written communications skills and be able to lead and interact with people at all levels of the organization both internal and external customers.
A strong desire to succeed and proven negotiation skills.
