Our St. Francis hospital is seeking a Emergency Services Tech.    We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Emergency Room where you will be responsible for:

What You Will Be Doing: 

• Providing patient care according to the Standards of Care defined within the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the policies and procedures.

• Effectively managing department/patient activities in a time efficient manner to ensure the delivery of care is well-organized and proficient. 

• Providing quality customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.

 The St. Francis Campus is fully accredited by the joint Commission. We also have the following notable accreditations and certifications:

• Advanced Primary Stroke Center Certification

• Inpatient Rehab Stroke Certification

• Chest Pain Accreditation, by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care

• Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, by the American College of Radiology

• (CoC) Accreditation

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification with the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry OR completed first semester and currently enrolled in accredited RN program.

• Basic Life Support certification (BLS).

• Prior work experience in a comparable health care setting is preferred.

• Interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to learn to perform direct patient care and basic nursing procedures.

• Ability to interpret and communicate data relevant to patients’ needs and responses to care.

• Basic computer skills.
