We are looking for a Materials Coordinator-OR to join our Material Management Team at Lovelace Regional Hospital in Roswell, NM.

This Full-Time job is located at Lovelace Regional Hospital provides 24/7 ermergency service, intensive care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, surgical services and birthing services fro Roswell and the surrounding community.  Lovelace's presence in Roswell also includes a primary and specialty care clinic to allow us to better serve the residents of southeast New Mexico.


Materials Coordinator-OR Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and assists with the daily support operations to include inventory management and control
• Provides supply management for OR/Specialty area through maintaining, monitoring and adjusting physician preference inventory areas, processing requisitions, tracking/expediting of orders, and managing new product requests and conversions.
• Assists with the research and implementation of opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce cost. Evaluates and adjusts par levels for cost effective par.
• Manages expired and obsolete inventory.
• Processes consignment and bill-only requisitions accurately and timely including contract verification.
• Effectively works with vendors on un-authorized supplies, documentation issues and/or revised pricing.
• Effectively works with purchasing and corporate for item add/activations and contract issues.
• Participates effectively in inventory process, including pre-inventory work, actual inventory, and post-inventory work.

Materials Coordinator-OR Education and Experience Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Desired: Some College courses in business, accounting or healthcare.
• Computer Literacy, to include MS Office (Word and Excel); Materials Management; Financial computer system experience
• Ability to analyze and interpret data, good communication skills, and problem solving skills.
• Two (2) years of related experience of which one (1) year must have been in Materials Management
