Arganteal is seeking 2 AWS Engineers with strong knowledge of AWS basic services and experience with end-to-end monitoring in the cloud.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS or equivalent related professional experience
- 5 years total work experience
- 3 years work experience with public cloud hosting and support (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Must have a strong understanding and experience with basic AWS services as listed below:
- Route 53
- WAF
- ALB
- Cognito
- Cloudfront
- Beanstock
- EC2
- API Gateway
- Lambda
- S3
- EKS
Required Knowledge:
- Experience leading a team in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint execution/spring demo activities
- Good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code software tools, preferably Terraform.
- Good knowledge on log parsing tools, CW insights, Splunk, etc.
Job Duties:
- Monitor a cloud application’s business metrics in a third-party monitoring tool (Splunk, Splunk Cloud Observability, Datadog, Dynatrace, etc). Previous experience should include moving app teams from monitoring to observability, not just basic setup of Cloudwatch logs/metrics.
- Create/update monitoring Terraform modules to aid cloud application teams in monitoring.
- Setting up the transfer of AWS data to Splunk (ex: Kinesis Firehose or Splunk technical add-ons).
- Monitoring applications and sending alerts through customized email with specific email bodies via SNS. The end-to-end architecture involves parsing an alarm trigger and customizing the message to send via SNS. This could result in a ServiceNow ticket autogenerated.
