BASIC FUNCTIONS OF ROLE:
The UX team is responsible for facilitating, generating, and executing great user experiences for our clients and their customers. Working along with product and engineering teams, the UX team is accountable for designing effective and consistent user experiences and executing UX standards and practices, with primary focus on the following areas:
Process: — Build, measure, learn. We want empathetically curious people who are excited about all aspects of learning and exploring problems to create compelling solutions. Experience working in Lean UX or Human-Centered Design methods with strong foundations in qualitative and quantitative research.
Collaborate: — Working closely with cross functional teams to define unified solutions, both individually and as part of a larger portfolio, via decisions based on research and other data driven insights. Creating solutions that account for usability and productivity, while providing top quality guidance throughout ARGO applications.
Design: — Stories in motion. We want people who create compelling visual stories as prototypes that inspire others to understand the value of design and business decisions. Ability to create strong visual, informational and interaction design solutions for complex problems.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor and / or Master’s degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Science, HCI, Interaction / Information Design, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Communication Design or a related field is preferred for the position.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Leadership and knowledge expert in UX
- Leading Human-Centered Design methods to drive product strategy discovery
- Accountability of design standards and guidelines
- Exceptional presentation abilities to senior leadership and external clients, both verbal and visual
- Designing solutions for finance, healthcare, or similar roles
- Expert knowledge of Miro, Sketch, and InVision
- Creating advanced interactive prototypes for validating and testing product designs
- Natural skill to engage with people at a deep level, whether observing or interviewing customers, or working with fellow team members and clients
- Strategy focused solutions with a demonstrated history of experience
- Knowledge of web and mobile technologies and feasibility of design solutions, for example: ReactJS, HTML5, CSS, iOS, Android, Windows and various other technologies
WORK PERFORMED:
Job duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties maybe assigned as needed). The UX team supports all analytical and design activities around the creation of product solutions.
- Leading team members by example in ARGO’s value chain CRP3
- (Customer, Revenue, People, Process, Product) through actions and accomplishments
- Leading product design strategy in partnership with the product team
- Collaborating closely with internal partners and external agencies to conduct strategic research activities
- Play a central role in helping to uncover opportunities and make recommendations on how to improve the customer experience (CX).
- Synthesizing research and data insights to define initial hypotheses
- Validating hypothesis through workshops, such as zero-based design, and MVP definition
- Leading ideation on future concepts, document user flows, assess navigation, architecture, and future state journey maps
- Expertly presenting and selling strategic design solutions to senior management, stakeholders, and teams
- Ensure the success of the strategy and the ability to champion the best possible user experience
- Communicating strategic changes to UX standards, design decisions, and execution guidance of product roadmap
- Strategy for evolving procedures, execution, and results of UX product strategy discovery and handoff to delivery teams
- Validating adoption of product strategy delivery across all product solutions
- Leading strategy multiple design programs, redesign efforts, or continuous improvement projects in a dynamic, and diverse environment
