What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Argus Logistics?
Argus Logistics (Top 10 in US Logistics Companies) is looking for an on-site Operations Coordinator to manage all aspects of Customer Service, Load Tender, Track and Trace responsibilities, and on-call needs. The ideal candidate will support the Argus team from the on-site load center where they will also handle TMS requests. The Operations Coordinator is also a valuable support to the senior account managers. They will supply reports, feedback, reports and elevate issues when necessary.
Compensation:$55,000
Responsibilities:- Coordinate Domestic and International freights for assigned customers.
- Provide tracking and tracing information to the customers
- Maintain positive and proactive customer service and relations.
- Assist Account Manager in identifying any and all savings opportunities.
- Gain a full understanding of customer requirements and identify opportunities for consolidations or streamlining processes.
- Have a complete understanding of Ad Hoc and Premium shipment requirements.
- Obtain multiple quotes and shipping options for all ad hoc and Premium shipments to ensure the best pricing.
- Follow up for orders that have been picked up/ transit.
- Ensure deliveries are on time and communicate to the customer in a timely manner.
- Maintain the Company portal to ensure it is fully updated.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- Logistics background preferred.
- Customer service skills (at least 2 years required)
- Foreign trading knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to Multi-task
- Can-do approach to daily responsibilities
