The Network Consultant will be required to have experience in routing switching, load balancing. The successful candidate will assist with design, implementation and change management of networking and load balancing tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- F5 and AVI load balancers and load balancer management platform AppviewX: design, deploy, and troubleshooting
- Understand from the application owner the load balancing needs for the application
- Propose a load balancing solution to meet the business requirements and at the same time meet Best practices guidelines
- Discuss with the Architect team for any uniqueness in the solution proposed
- Create change tickets, pursue approvals, and respond to any questions that may be raised by any of the teams
- Create method-of-procedure for the change to be executed during the pre-approved change window
- Ensure application owner is available during the change window and complete any troubleshooting activities
- On-board application’s virtual-IP-addresses on to the AppviewX management platform
- Train the application team(s) to do their own taking servers in and out of rotation from the load balancing pool and provide documentation
- Actively work with the vendor and other teams to continuously improve AppviewX management platform and increase participation in the platform from other teams and agency application owners
- Complete any additional tasks assigned by the manager of the group, in the area of networking and load-balancing
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of load-balancing
- Must have hands-on experience with F5, AVI and AppviewX
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Additional experience in the field of networking
- Good project management skills
