Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Catering Cook to assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting food for large-scale events such as weddings, conferences, and parties.
DAY TO DAY
- Food Preparation : Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking. This will often involve washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing these ingredients
- Meal Execution : Uses various kitchen equipment - including ovens, broilers, grills, slicers, and blenders - to prepare dishes
Kitchen Cleanliness and Sanitation : Ensures cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. This may involve cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as the cooking surfaces
Banquet Set-Up : Helps in setting up the banquet hall, including the arrangement for food, silverware, and plateware
Food Storage : Manage the storage and rotation of food supplies in accordance with safety standards
REQUIREMENTS :
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous culinary experience required
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and professional-grade kitchen equipment
- Must be able and willing to work weekends
- Understanding of health and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal skills to work as a team member
