Job Summary:
The Arizona Coyotes are looking for a creative and strategic marketer who will spearhead the development and execution of brand campaigns and initiatives designed to build the Coyotes brand and drive growth. This lifestyle brand role will have a national focus that goes beyond hockey.
This is both a strategic and operational role. A great candidate will have experience building premium brands, leveraging insights, partnering to develop large-scale creative concepts, and launching lifestyle campaigns to support brand growth objectives. You will research and reach out to influencers and select the individuals that best grow the Coyotes brand.
You are a creative thinker who exercises exceptional communication skills. You have your eye on what’s happening in culture and are up on the latest consumer trends that could impact the Coyotes and our fans. You are a team player who effectively manages work across multiple teams, projects, and priorities. You also understand the perspective and needs of senior executives across the organization.
This role will report to the SVP, Brand & Digital Marketing and works closely with cross-functional partners: Brand Colleagues, Ticket Marketing, Merchandise Development, Local Marketing, Multicultural Marketing, Social Media, Digital, and Corporate Partnerships. Supported by those from creative, content, video production, marketing, and operations to develop integrated lifestyle brand strategies.
The position will push our mission to change how sports teams build their brand.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Translate our brand values and consumer insights into innovative marketing initiatives designed to reach our target fans, drive growth, and support the business's strategic initiatives.
- Work with non-hockey lifestyle publishers, editors, and networks to promote the Coyotes brand.
- Influencer research, outreach, and selection.
- Develop, manage and execute innovative brand campaigns, advertising, and other activities — in partnership with Digital Marketing and Local Brand Marketing. This includes brief development, project oversight, partnering with the content team, and agency management, as needed.
- Drive and manage our national branded merch strategy, including collaborations and launch campaigns.
- Measure and report on the brand marketing initiatives and develop insights to inform future strategies.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors as needed.
- Work with cross-functional partners to ensure brand initiatives are integrated across all touchpoints.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications
- Experience in brand marketing, creative and advertising.
- Understands pop culture, street culture, and youth marketing.
- Experience managing bold brand marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, drive growth, and evoke an emotional connection to the fans.
- Influencers strategies and outreach.
- Develop full-funnel brand marketing strategies that leverage engaging, and innovation.:
- Protecting and championing the Coyotes brand position and aligning it to the fan experience across all.
- Forging cross-functional partnerships and steering projects forward across teams.
- Project oversight with a track record of end-to-end project ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and create processes to streamline projects.
- A portfolio of materials (i.e. creative, emails, ads, videos, messaging) that show an understanding of the brand and compelling messaging.
