We are a fully established multi-specialty interventional pain practice with multiple locations city wide. Our practice specializes in using a multimodal approach, utilizing physical therapy, rehab, chiropractors, and nurse practitioners in a team approach to ensure we are providing exceptional patient care. Our practice model emphasizes improving patient lives and restoring function without the use of opioids (i.e., No Med Management). We are looking for a motivated interventional pain physician (DO or MD, trained in PM&R, Anesthesia etc.) in a procedure heavy practice, who seeks an environment where all providers work as a team. Incumbent must take personal accountability for patient care, be opened to contributing to our practice and willing to learn and practice medicine under our very successful business model.
We are seeking a physician who is comfortable with working as a team with Chiropractors, NPs, and PAs in managing patient care, and providing interventional pain services at our outpatient ambulatory surgical centers. We have multiple clinics in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area (including Anthem, Peoria, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Chandler, and Mesa). The incumbent will be expected to have excellent bed side manners, be able to clearly communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plans, and direct patient care by collaborating with other providers and team members to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
• No direct reports, but will have oversight of medical staff during procedures and collaboration in creating patient treatment plans
Essential Responsible Accountabilities:
• Evaluating and managing patient care through an understanding of relevant medical history, allergies, medication use, and other risk factors as it relates to the treatment of bread-and-butter pain management cases.
• Working with a medical team to design a patient’s treatment plan
• Maintaining detailed notes on patient treatment, with an emphasis on medical necessity for proposed procedures
• Communicating continuing care instructions with care team
• Creating a positive motivational environment for patients and staff
• Providing clear and timely communication to assist team members and patients in answering questions regarding treatment plans, medical concerns, scheduling, and patient compliance
• Comprehensive medical evaluation and treatment for patients with various complex pain conditions
• Board Certified or eligible MD or DO
• Strong knowledge and comfort in performing core pain procedures
• Familiarity with advanced procedures such as SCS, Kyphoplasty, MILD etc a plus
• Be willing to learn and become efficient at advanced procedures such as SCS implant etc.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and sitting and working on a computer. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
