The High Voltage Test Center (HVTC) Lab specialist performs visual and electrical tests on protective equipment, enters testing data, and receives and ships materials for testing.

Responsibilities

  • Performs visual and electrical tests of rubber safety items in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standards.
  • Coordinates and performs visual inspections and dielectric testing of insulated units. Documents, reports, and tracks findings, repairs, and corrective measures.
  • Performs visual inspection and dielectric testing of live-line tools. Documents, reports, and tracks findings, repairs, and corrective measures and findings.
  • Receives, ships, verifies, and matches packing slips for goods received and shipped. Utilizes shipping software and transports materials to various shipping points as needed.
  • Prepares materials for testing by organizing goods to be tested, cleaning materials before testing and providing necessary paperwork.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to customers dropping off and picking up orders.
  • Keys data related to the testing process in software.
  • Provides support with annual inventory and interim inventory counts.
  • The ability to handle stress and work reasonably well with others are essential functions of this position.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • In pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processes.
  • High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate a digger derrick and bucket truck.

 

Minimum Experience

  • Technician I - No Experience
  • Technician II - At least 2 years' experience
  • Sr. Technician - At least 4 years' experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Forklift Operator
