Lease Operator / Pumper
OVERVIEW & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Lease Operator is responsible for maintaining optimum production from assigned wells/pads and meeting company standards for appearance and upkeep of assets. Lease Operators perform required repairs & maintenance, completes required documentation accurately and timely, while adhering to company policies and procedures including environment, safety, and regulatory.
Good communication with the foremen, other pumpers and plant mechanic is a must. This job requires a self-motivated individual with good housekeeping skills. The hire will be expected to help others in the field as needed in numerous different capacities as they arise to satisfy Arkoma Operations goal of an integrated operation.
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: 5 year minimum of upstream oil and gas experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs daily operational check of assigned wells & production facilities in assigned area
- Gathers, interprets production rates, evaluation performance, recommends and/or determines and implements appropriate course of action
- Record pressures, check fluid levels, gauge tanks, switches · Performs routine inspection, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting on all assigned production equipment
- Wellhead equipment including valves, stuffing boxes, plunger equipment, gauges, etc.
- Separation equipment including separators, fired heaters, dump valves, etc.
- Measurement equipment including orifice meters, turbine meters, and other measurement devices
- Production tanks and pits and gauging equipment
- Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrections to existing procedures to ensure the assigned field meets performance standard
- Performs housekeeping & basic maintenance of well sites, vehicles, tools, etc.
- Identifies problems or potential problems with equipment; may provide technical guidance to others
- Oversee third party meter calibration (may include witnessing)
- Considers relative costs and benefits of potential actions/alternative solutions
- Record Keeping/Production Reporting
- Completes and submits daily production paperwork in a timely manner; be able to discuss/provide background on submitted paperwork
- Analyzes charts to identify potential problems or opportunities for well production o Regularly monitors SCADA and looks for production problems, data quality issues, and opportunities to improve well production
- Environment Health Safety & Regulatory (EHS&R)
- Ensures that safety devices are operational
- Performs routine wellsite audits as per check-lists
- Attends & participates in EHS&R meetings and regular field operator meetings
- Reports near-misses and incidents to supervisor & EHS&R immediately
- Draft incident reports and participate in investigations
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Practice safe work habits at all times
- Knowledge/experience in oil & natural gas production, controllers, and data gathering equipment
- Basic computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft Excel) and simple mathematical calculations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good relationship skills; able to work effectively with others to accomplish goals
- Proven ability to organize and complete assigned tasks
- Position requires operation of Company vehicles. Must maintain a clean driving record and adhere to policies

- Able to travel and work extended hours
