Duties & Responsibilities
- The Command Center Duty Representative monitors USCP radio, media reports and other sources of information to obtain information that could affect the operations and security of the AOC or Capitol Complex.
- Assess impacts such as road and door closures, or other restrictions.
- Monitors the statuses of special events.
- The Command Center Duty Representative will liaise with USCP, House Sergeant at Arms, Senate Sergeant at Arms, and other legislative and government agencies.
- Shall coordinate AOC's response to incidents affecting AOC operations and/or the security of the Capitol Complex.
- The Command Center Duty Representative will review and recommend improvements to AOC Command Center checklist and materials.
- Assist with the creation of Standard Operating Procedures for AOC Command Center Operations.
- Provide notifications to AOC leadership on events affecting the security and operations of the Capitol Campus.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated ability working in a high-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and the ability to adapt and manage the new priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and multiple priorities.
- Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact; able to adapt style and tone to effectively engage the audience.
- Demonstrated ability to write and edit clear, concise, and grammatically correct documents (e.g., reports, special studies, policy, and procedures).
- The Command Center Duty Representative must have a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and the ability to maintain such clearance throughout the life of the contract
- Minimum of five (5), preferably seven (7), years of experience working in any of the following:
- Law enforcement or security
- Emergency Management
- Law enforcement, security, emergency management operations centers
- High School Diploma
