BUSINESS ANALYST-JDE

Description

The Business Analyst leads in the design, development, and maintenance of all applications used by the Armada Team, specifically JDE. The Business Analyst collaborates with leaders at Armada and the Prinova IT team to implement solutions best meeting the needs of Armada and Prinova.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide IT leadership in the implementation of JD Edwards ERP and manufacturing systems;
• In JDE Identify, Document, and Design new systems and processes for key business functions;
• Identify new options in JDE that will improve Armada’s and Prinova’s functional system;
• Review new JDE enhancements and upgrades and the affect they will have on the Armada current environment;
• Develop and lead functional/hands-on training of application end-users and IT staff on ERP application use;
• Provide detailed support to Armada’s users to resolve problems and issues and to identify means to prevent future re-occurrences;
• Collaborate with leaders at all locations to identify and implement solutions that meet the needs of Armada and Prinova as a whole;
• Plans and prepares managerial and technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals of program enhancements and improvements;
• Coordinate with the Business and System Analyst team to document plans and procedural changes to all IT systems;
• Review existing ERP and manufacturing applications to ensure the quality and integrity of the system;
• Prepares project flow diagrams, workflow charts and other visual diagrams to specify enhancement and improvements to existing operational processes;
• Identify new technologies and system that will better support the Armada and Prinova teams;
• Prepares time and cost estimates for completing projects;
• Maintains TrackIt System by recording and updating tickets for user requests and projects;
• Follow cGMP guidelines and processes as established in department SOPs;
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public;
• Proven experience with Oracle JDE 9.X (current version) and related systems such as RFSmart, Reports Now, etc.;
• Thorough understanding of JDE processes including OMW, scheduling, security, and E1 pages;
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
• Ability to work as a team to accomplish complex tasks and assignments;
• Detailed knowledge of key JDE functional modules is required, focus on Manufacturing;
• Ability to travel between Armada and Prinova locations as needed;
• Ability to use Microsoft Visio or equivalent in preparation of flow diagrams, workflow charts and other visual diagrams;
• Experience with Labware, Product Vision, DocuWare, Reports Now, RFSmart, and other related system is beneficial;
• Ability to sit for extended hours;
• Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours;
• Work environment is normally in an office setting;
• Must be able to work around a variation of different smells and aromas;
• Other physical requirements include moderate standing and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting;
• Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
