Armanino is looking for a client-focused BI Support Developer who can deliver consulting services for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (BI) clients.
In a client-facing role, the person will be responsible for understanding, documenting, and ensuring client requirements are met. This person will be responsible for Microsoft Power BI and Excel-based reporting development, and project management tasks. Responsibilities also include delivery of complex SQL Server and Analysis Services (Tabular) cube customizations and performing quality testing before passing them back to the client.
To understand and troubleshoot the client’s requirements, the successful candidate will benefit from an understanding of ERP business processes, particularly those relating to Finance and Supply Chain/Inventory Management, therefore experience in management accounting or systems accounting-type roles is relevant. Knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX (D365 F&O) or another mid-to-enterprise ERP is beneficial.
To resolve the issue quickly and determine the root cause, knowledge or experience of databases and ERP data schemas is highly desirable. Most of the work will involve navigating the front-end of the ERP or operating in a Microsoft SQL Server environment using T-SQL queries, Analysis Services, and Excel. Therefore T-SQL experience and an understanding of cube concepts and database models are beneficial.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to own projects from requirements gathering through delivery, testing, and sign-off, and show that they can communicate effectively with diverse clients from many industries.
Although the position is office based there may be a requirement to travel, nationally and potentially internationally, on occasion.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE / What You’ll Do
- Work with clients who have reported issues with existing live Power BI reports, dashboards, and other analytics
- Identify appropriate technologies for client requirements
- Document root cause analysis, requirements to resolve issues, and test plans
- Work with client and functional team to ensure the issues are resolved in line with the business needs
- Test & validate implementations
- Research and prototype new technologies

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- Business Process Analysis and Optimization
- Possess and demonstrate good verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
- Self-motivated and willing to use own initiative
- Excellent problem solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data retrieved from multiple sources
- Expertise with Power BI – reporting visualization and report/KPI creation
- Familiarity with ERP or other Enterprise Computing systems
- Knowledge of Data Integration strategies, protocols, & formats
- Experience with Automation tools (i.e., UiPath/Blue Prism/Power Automate)
- Expertise with Support Triage, Root Cause Analysis, Writing Test Plans, Executing Test Plans, & reviewing Design Documentation
- Excellent work ethic and ability to maintain a professional presence in client-facing situations
- Strong ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
