Armstrong Teasdale is seeking a Financial and Real Estate Specialist to join the firm. The Financial and Real Estate Specialist supports attorneys throughout all legal processes including hearings and depositions. Areas of focus could include all aspects of commercial real estate transactions and litigation matters.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
· Assists with the drafting and review of special tax district documents, financial statements, deeds and other property documents for recording
· Reviews legal bankruptcy documentations in preparation for hearings and depositions
· Monitors compliance with deadlines for filing of required periodic reports with court and trustee
· Assists attorneys in researching, drafting and revision of bond issue documents
· Prepares and executes court filings including filing Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) financing statements
· Supports attorneys in closing transactions, such as preparing checklists and collecting and organizing supporting documentation
· Serves as a key point of contact for clients and interprets data for clients
· Conducts legal research in order to prepare depositions, hearings and legal arrangements

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience: 2 years in legal industry or equivalent transferrable skills from industries such as insurance, government, regulatory/compliance administration; skilled in Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience: 3-5 years as a legal assistant in the Finance and Banking industries
