Job Purpose or Summary
In alignment with our company mission, vision and values, the Care Specialist Supervisor is responsible for supporting and supervising our Care Specialist teams by providing guidance and oversight of their job tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and retention of our in-home care professionals. The Care Specialist Supervisor works to align job performance with best practices in the areas of tailored matching with clients, consistent outreach to build strong relationships, and regular collection of feedback to increase and maintain high job satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Foster our mission: To attract, train, retain and treasure the best care professionals.
- Develop strong relationships with referral and/or staffing partners and caregivers through planning and attending in-person visits, appreciation events, and training
- Staffing - lead schedule coordination, plan resources for growth, optimize scheduling & assignments based on geography, skills & hour efficiency maximization; availability maximization, team communication, and time/pay record management
- Recruiting - build pipelines of prospective candidates and proactive recruitment of potential team members through planning and attending community outreach and events; screens, selects & onboards caregivers
- Reviews Care Specialist job performance & provides ongoing feedback, as well as scheduled evaluations
- Ensures adherence with processes & systems, including training, timely and accurate documentation, schedule organization, and data hygiene
- Provide guidance, mentorship, training, and support to Care Specialists in all job tasks
- Assist and/or lead Care Specialist & Caregiver onboarding training
- Assist and/or lead Care Specialist monthly Open Forum meetings
- Boost employee retention with company-wide strategic initiatives
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manages 2 direct report team members. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these team members.
- In collaboration with local leadership, counsels, disciplines, and makes termination recommendations of Care Specialists.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Customer service experience
- Positive attitude with team-player mindset
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience preferred with minimum of 1.5 years of experience in caregiver support and appreciation events, recruitment events, community outreach and candidate screening.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mentorship, training and supervision.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, decision makers, and family members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- PC literacy required
