Inventory Control Coordinator
Summary:
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Inventory Control Coordinator oversees the incoming and outgoing materials to the production line and aftermarket service parts shipping while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Resource management to include insurance of coverage in all areas, approval of vacations, and review of time and attendance in ADP.
- Execution of job sequencing. Guide employees in satisfying the daily shipment schedule and customer delivery requirements. Motivate employees through involvement, communication, and positive reinforcement.
- Maintain daily communication with the Materials Manager to report any deviations to daily plans or concerns related to staffing needs, safety, quality, machines, processes, materials, etc.
- Oversee new employee training by executing a training plan, training matrix, and service culture adherence.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing safety within the department and instructing/ monitoring Inventory Control employees’ work practices and conformance with procedures and company policies.
- Ensure adequate levels of materials and/or consumable products are available for production. Communicate shortages as needed.
- Facilitate Pick Lists for production and for shipments (all necessary production/aftermarket parts paperwork as it develops)
- Communicate production statuses during the production meeting of the Master Schedule. This includes the identification, monitoring, and communication of shortages, as well as delivering information at Huddle Boards.
- Facilitate production status communications between shifts.
- Ensure shop workbench transactions are completed.
- Perform direct and/or indirect work activities (primary and secondary operations, material handling, etc., as needed).
- Perform basic equipment and process failure analysis and act accordingly.
- Conduct root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and implementation of long-term solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, including 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- As part of the AROW Global team you will need to understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent; technical degree desired.
- Three to five years of manufacturing experience with 1-2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is strongly desired; knowledge of IFS is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities sufficient to provide supervisory backup and ability to lead team with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead by example with an innovative mindset while contributing to excellence in manufacturing.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills as well as the ability to read technical blueprints and work instructions.
- Understanding of production schedules, demand, and delivery.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and change priorities as needed.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Aptitude to take a team-oriented approach to projects.
- Ability to drive a forklift or complete training to obtain forklift license.
