POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Assembler will help production in every aspect needed, with main responsibilities in foam fabrication, picking, assembly and packing.
The role may also consist of providing support to upholstery and any other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Schedule : M-F 7am-3 : 30pm EST
Pay Rate : $13.71-$15.69 / hr
Location : Arper USA, Inc., 660 Southwest Street, High Point, NC 27260
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Foam fabrication (Apply foam to wood frames, plastic shells etc.)
- Picking all materials for production
- Assembly of furniture
- Packing finished products
- Inspect materials for quality (foam, dacron etc.)
- Inspect finished products to ensure superior quality standards
- Various activities as decided by the Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous 2-3 years experience with foam fabrication (preferred)
- 2-3 years experience in assembly within production / manufacturing industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with glue pumps and spray guns (preferred)
- Experience with stand-up and pickers forklifts (strongly preferred)
- Bar code and scanning knowledge for picking material
- Ability to lift, cary, push or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Specific vision ability required includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work within hot environments up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit
- Stand for the duration of the shift (8 hours)
