JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Manager/Senior Manager, HR Operations & Recruitment that will play a pivotal role in overseeing HR operations and recruitment for our two Massachusetts locations. This position is responsible for ensuring seamless HR processes, driving recruitment strategies, and contributing to the overall success of the HR function. Collaboration & initiative-taking communication with other functions such as operations, quality, process sciences, and SG&A functions is one of the essential mandates. The successful candidate will be able to build and sustain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Located in our Watertown MA, this position will require an in-office presence. This role does offer the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Development and execution of HR policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives & legal requirements
- Manage HRIS systems (PEO) and ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Partner with PEO (TriNet) on communication and education around employee benefit programs, annual enrollment process, and ongoing compliance updates
- Support the immigration process for participating employees and corresponding I-9 management
- Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning
- Partner with leadership on off cycle adjustments, promotions, or salary adjustments which are role change related
- Monitor compliance with local labor laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures. Partnering with Legal for any ER issues including performance cases & PIP’s
- Collaborate with finance on payroll, workforce planning, budgets & manage monthly headcount, turnover and/or trend report(s)
- Work together with hiring managers to understand needs and helping refine the job descriptions
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation
- Navigate our Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse) to source, screen, & select best candidates
- Engage in employer branding initiatives to enhance the company's reputation as an employer of choice
- Implement and analyze recruitment metrics to track the effectiveness of sourcing channels and hiring strategies
- Measure recruitment effectiveness & suggest creative solutions which are cost effective & efficient.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- May oversee, manage, and provide guidance to the activities of lower-level team members.
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
- 5 experience in HR operations and recruitment, preferably in Biotech/Pharma/Medical Device/CDMO
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
- Demonstrated experience in implementing HRIS systems and overseeing benefits administration.
- Proven record of designing and executing successful recruitment strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
