Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health needs and develop a nursing care plan
- Administer medications, treatments and therapies as prescribed
- Monitor vital signs and perform basic medical procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatments
- Provide emotional support and help patients and families cope with health issues
Requirements:
- Active RN license in good standing
- 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems
